Tyler Marcum, Youth Director
I was raised in Noblesville, Indiana, and my very first memory is sitting on my dad’s lap in a church’s fellowship hall. Christ and the church have been a passion in my life since I can remember, and growing up, I attended just about everything that my church had to offer. I volunteered in my youth ministry, our church’s food pantry, and was blessed to travel on many short-term mission trips. Eventually, I felt God calling me to attend Taylor University where I graduated with a BA in Youth Ministry.
I met my wife, Hannah, in the fall of 2018 while at Taylor. After many library dates and phone calls during the pandemic, we got married in March 2021, and have been in Madison ever since. Together we enjoy board games, walking around town and Clifty Park, and simply enjoying each other’s company.
I have a passion for youth ministry and being present with students through all the crazy parts of being a teenager. I had a number of key adults who invested into me when I was that age, so I know how important the need is for the Church to rally behind our youth and help them seek and find the Lord.
RiverStone Church is all about unifying the Body of Christ to serve our community, and I consider myself very blessed to have the opportunity to be part of the unification process. I’ve seen God work in miraculous and expectation-defying ways, and I can’t wait to see how He uses RiverStone to positively impact the lives of those in Jefferson County. One of our main passages of Scripture comes from 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 -
“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.”
I want to personally invite YOU to come and check us out! We would love to get to know you and your story, no matter which life stage you are at.
Know that you are valued and that God sees you, knows you, and wants you to know Him more.
May the deep peace of Christ be with you.
By God’s Grace,
Tyler
